Cues, speed at a cue and the countdown
Mark a paragraph as a cue and every remote can jump to the next or previous one. A cue can also carry its own speed, and a countdown of up to 30 seconds can run before the scroll starts.
- Add a cue. In the editor, put the cursor in a paragraph and tap Add cue on the formatting bar (it becomes Remove cue). While prompting, tap Edit the script, then Add a cue.
- Jump between cues. Next cue and Previous cue are on the dock, the Watch, the browser remote and the arrow keys. In Paging mode the cue keys turn the page instead.
- Give a cue its own speed. With the cursor in a cued paragraph, tap Speed from here, then Slower or Faster. In a continuous scroll the speed changes when the reading line reaches that cue and holds until the next cue with a speed, or until you change it. Timed mode ignores cue speeds.
- Set the countdown. On the prompter's Scrolling page, under Start and stop, set Countdown from 0 to 30 seconds. It's 3 seconds by default and is saved with the script.
Cues have no names you type. A PowerPoint import names them Slide 1, Slide 2 and on, and the dock shows the name as CUE when you reach one. In a session the countdown runs on the same clock on every device. Also under Start and stop: Tap to start and Drag stops the scroll, both on by default.
If that didn't work
If a cue's speed doesn't take, check the scroll is in Continuous mode. Write to us.
