Use your Apple Watch as a remote

Open Cutvey Teleprompter on the Apple Watch paired with your iPhone: start and stop, change speed with the buttons or the Digital Crown, and jump cues, with the time left on your wrist.

  1. Open a script on the iPhone. The Watch app comes with the iPhone app and follows its purchase.
  2. Open the app on the Watch. The big button starts and stops. The minus and plus buttons, or the Digital Crown, change the speed. The two buttons underneath go to the previous and next cue.
  3. Read the time. EST. LEFT is the large figure and EST. ELAPSED sits under it.
The Watch remote: the script's name, EST. LEFT 2:47, Stop, speed 1.2x, and previous and next cue

What the Watch can drive

The Watch talks only to its own iPhone, which passes each press on. So it works whether the iPhone is prompting alone, hosting a session, or has joined one as a remote. It doesn't work while the iPhone is a monitor. To drive a Mac or an iPad, have the iPhone join that session. If the iPhone app isn't paid for yet, the Watch shows a card pointing you to the phone.

If that didn't work

If the Watch says it can't reach the iPhone, open the iPhone app and keep the phone nearby. Write to us.
