Restore a purchase on a new device

Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought with, open the app, and tap Restore Purchase on the first screen.

  1. Check the Apple Account. The purchase belongs to the Apple Account that made it. On iPhone and iPad it's at the top of Settings; on the Mac it's in the App Store's account page.
  2. Open Cutvey Teleprompter. A new device opens on the locked screen.
  3. Tap Restore Purchase. The app asks Apple for your purchases and opens fully once it finds this one. Usually it already knows, because the purchase is shared across your devices on its own.

Things that can stop a restore

  • A different Apple Account on this device. The app says in words when there is nothing to restore.
  • Family Sharing. This purchase isn't shared with family members, so each Apple Account buys its own.
  • A refunded purchase no longer counts.
