Help / Read and scroll
The scroll stopped when I left the app
On iPhone and iPad, a prompter scrolling on its own stops when the app leaves the screen, to take a call or go to the Home Screen, so you come back to the line you were reading. Press play to carry on.
- Come back to the app. The script is where you left it, with the read line on the same words.
- Press play. Nothing starts by itself. Use the screen, the Watch, a pedal or a remote, as usual.
When it keeps running
- Hosting a session. The other devices read from this one's clock, so it carries on.
- Feeding an external display. The display under the glass is its own screen, and someone may be reading it.
- Recording a take. Leaving the app ends the take, which is saved like any other, and the scroll stops with it.
- On a Mac. It never stops, because a prompter behind a call is the point.
If that didn't work
If it stops while the app is still on screen, write to us with the device and what was on screen at the time. Write to us.
