Help / Bring in and organize scripts
Sync scripts with iCloud, and back up your library
Scripts, folders and rundowns sync through your own private iCloud, on by default when the device is signed in to iCloud. A backup file saves the whole library for safekeeping.
- Check sync is on. In Settings, under iCloud, the switch is Sync scripts with iCloud. It starts on when the device is signed in to iCloud and nobody has changed it. Turning it off stops this device syncing and deletes nothing.
- Edit anywhere. Your other devices pick up changes on their own. If two devices change the same script, the later edit wins and the other is kept as a new script named (recovered copy).
- Back up the library. In Settings, under Library, Export All Scripts saves every script, folder and rundown to one .zip file, with a plain text copy of each script too. Import from backup brings them back, and never overwrites anything: a script already in the library arrives beside it as a copy.

Sync uses your private iCloud database, so Cutvey does not hold your scripts. Recorded takes don't sync; they're in Photos. A backup made by a newer version of the app is refused by name rather than half read: update the app first.
If that didn't work
If a script is missing on one device, check that both are signed in to the same iCloud account and that iCloud sync is on in both. Write to us.
